To see

Se trascorrete alcuni giorni a Reggio non perdete l'occasione di visitare il nuovo Museo Archeologico Nazionale, recentemente restaurato e inaugurato, dove tra le varie opere, potrete ammirare gli splendidi Bronzi di Riace.

Se siete in giro per il centro di Reggio, è assolutamente consigliata una lunga passeggiata sul Lungomare Falcomatà, magari accompagnata, da un buon gelato o un'ottima granita.

Lungo il percorso potrete anche ammirare l'elegante Villa Genose Zerbi, residenza storica reggina in stile veneziano. Mentre siete a passeggio per il centro potete anche visitare il Duomo e il vicino Museo Diocesano.

E' possibile, inoltre, visitare i resti dell'antico Castello Aragonese, situato nella zona alta centrale della città, ed oggi sede di piccole mostre ed eventi. Non distante dal Castello potrete visitare anche il Teatro Cilea e la Pinacoteca Civica al suo interno.

Ed ancora, si consiglia una visita al nuovo Palazzo della Cultura, appena inaugurato e contenente un'inestimabile collezione con meravigliose opere d'arte di vari autori da Dalì a Fontana, da Sironi a De Chirico, da Ligabue a Carrà, tutti beni confiscati alla mafia.

Se vi fermate più giorni e affittate una macchina, o volete spostarvi anche via treno, non potete non andare a Scilla, località a circa 20km  da Reggio, che offre, oltre un panorama e un mare spettacolare, la possibilità di visitare il Castello Ruffo e alle sue spalle, Chianalea, antico e suggestivo borgo di pescatori.

Per chi atterra a Lamezia Terme, ed ha un po' di ferie da trscorrere, è assolutamente consigliato fare un giro tra Tropea e Capo Vaticano, altro vanto naturalistico calabrese. Dove troverete un mare cristallino e dei paesaggi che non hanno nulla da invidiare ai caraibi. Se siete da quelle parti non dimenticate di gustare gli ottimi Tartufi di Pizzo, tipico dessert della zona.

Per chi, invece atterrerà a Catania ed ha la possibilità di trascorrere qualche giorno in Sicilia, è assolutamente consigliato fare un giro nell'antica e baroccheggiante Acireale. Per i più sportivi e amanti delle lunghe passeggiate, si consigliano anche le escursioni organizzate sull'Etna. Infine per i più romantici non può mancare un giro nella splendida Taormina, dove potrete visitare il magnifico Teatro antico e fare un bellissimo bagno nei pressi della suggestiva Isola Bella. Ovviamente se trascorrerete del tempo in Sicilia non potrete non degustare le più buone granite al mondo, accompagnate da deliziose brioches artigianali.

If you are around the center of Reggio, it is absolutely recommended a long walk on the Falcomatà Promenade, perhaps accompanied by a good ice cream or excellent granita.
Along the way you can admire the elegant Villa Genose Zerbi, Reggio historic residence in the Venetian style. While you are walking in the city center you can also visit the Cathedral and the close Diocesan Museum.

You can also visit the ruins of the Aragonese Castle, located in the upper central area of the city, and now home to small exhibitions and events. Not far from the Castle you can also visit the Cilea Theater and the Civic Art Gallery located inside.

And more, we recommend you to visiti the new Palace of Culture, just opened and containing priceless collection with wonderful works of artist like Dalì, Fontana, Sironi, De Chirico, Ligabue, Carra, all works confiscated from the Mafia,

If you spend more days in calabria and rent a car, or you also want to move by train, you can go to Scilla, a small village, about 20km from Reggio, that offers not only a beautiful panorama and a spectacular sea, but also the opportunity to visit the Ruffo Castle and behind it, Chianalea, ancient and picturesque fishing village.

For those who land in Lamezia Terme, and has got a bit of time for vacation, it is definitely advisable a tour between Tropea and Capo Vaticano, another Calabrian natural pride. Where you will find a crystal clear sea and landscapes that have nothing to envy to the Caribbean. If you are over there do not forget to enjoy the excellent Truffles of Pizzo, a typical dessert of that area.

For those who land at Catania and has the opportunity to spend few days in Sicily, it is definitely recommended to make a tour in the ancient and baroque Acireale. For those who are more athletic and love long walks, we also recommend the excursions on Etna. Finally, for those who are more romantic you can not miss a ride in the beautiful Taormina. There you can visit the magnificent Ancient Theater and make a beautiful bath near the appealing Isola Bella. Obviously if you spend time in Sicily you have to taste the very best granita in the world, accompanied by delicious handmade pastries.
